TECNO Mobile last month launched the Camon 20 series smartphone in Kenya promising a spectacular portrait video and night portrait photography experience. The series includes Camon 20 Premier 5G, Camon 20 Pro 5G, Camon 20 Pro and the Camon 20 smartphones. inspired by the deconstructionist genre of postmodern architecture, the series fuses the magic skin with ceramic materials and creates the unique CAMON PUZZLE design.

Design and Display
The phone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display of 6.8 inches and a screen resolution of 1080p by 2400 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is built with a vegan leather back with geometric lines that form zodiac-like shapes that are also smudge-free. TECNO tries to engrave with 20 irregular ribs in a luxury lychee pattern Magic Skin for the first time. At the same time, sapphire-grade nanocrystalline ceramic is integrated into the device’s back cover construction. The combination of advanced materials and bold design challenge traditional smartphone design language and lets CAMON 20 users make a stylish statement.

The bottom Bezel is 47% narrower, making the CAMON an all-slim bezel design. It sports an always-on Display.The device has the TUV Rheinland eye protection certification, ensuring it is easy on your eyes,
The phone also features a stereo earphone jack, charging port and speaker at the bottom panel. On the sides, we have the sim tray on the upper left. On your right, we have three buttons, Tecno separated the volume buttons so you can adjust and reduce the volume with the upper buttons and power the phone with the lower button.
Camera
TECNO Camon 20 Pro has a 64MP RGBW Ultra-Sensitive sensor that brings on board an industry-leading array sensor for night photography.108MP(Ultrawide) camera which supports 4K and HDR Video and 2MP (Depth) AI camera. At the front has a 32MP Micro-Slit Dual Flash Selfie Camera supporting dual portrait video.
Camera options include the AI Camera, Portrait, Super night mode, Sky Shop and bokeh mode for video.

Performance and processor
The Camon 20 Series will be offering Google’s Android 14 beta release. The phone is also powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chip with an advanced 6nm octa-core architecture. It sports a CPU frequency of up to 2.2GHz, ensuring the phone is lag-free. The series comes with 8GB ram and an extra 8GB RAM that can extend to 16. It also comes with 256GB of internal memory, allowing up to 18 apps to run simultaneously in the background.
Battery and connectivity
The smartphone is fueled by a Non-removable Li-po 5000 mAh battery + 33W wired battery. On a full charge, the battery can last for a full day with normal usage. We didn’t try any intense games. It also has an optical fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, compass and proximity sensors.

Finally, this is a good midrange phone for anyone looking for a good phone on a budget. It’s however not ideal for gamers but you are guaranteed of an impeccable design, more than enough space, It comes with 8GB of RAM that can be expanded by a further 8GB using expandable RAM and a good camera even for super night shoots.
