Facebook has launched a series of initiatives to help make the Internet safer and better for people across Africa. There have been many internet security concerns particularly for children and the youth. Facebook is partnering with public sector agencies and Non-governmental organizations from across Africa under the rally “Be the change: unite for a better Internet”. Although Facebook has been working on tools that have been empowering communities to stay in control it has become their main aim to ensure that there is safety while online. Every Facebook product has privacy and security built into it to protect your information.
In an effort to bring people closer, over 100 countries are in meetings to start conversations and help people think about the small steps they can take to stay safe online.
