
Samsung Electronics has partnered with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education to launch an e-learning technology set to disrupt the Ethiopian elementary school system.
The project dubbed Smart Education Environment technology which is to be integrated to the country’s elementary curriculum will introduce interactive e-learning tin all the schools.
At the moment the firm is doing a survey on best to carry out the programme.
According to Tadewos Awel, Country Manager of Samsung East Africa, the smart school solution is one the best developed technology on offer from Samsung.
Showing devotion to the development of the country, Samsung will not stop at the smart school project.
The South Korean based firm promises later to work with the Ethiopian ministry of health to introduce a new e-health solution.
Just last week during the Samsung Week, the firm introduced its ‘Built for Africa’ range of electronics-TV sets and refrigerators with capacity to withstand Africa’s power surges.
Last year Samsung Electronics Ltd had consolidated sales estimated at US$ 143.1 billion .
Samsung Electronics has grown to become top producer of telecommunications,digital media, semi conductors, and air conditioners.
