
Dating is big business.
Mobile dating service, Eskimi has hit 10 million users globally, half of them in Nigeria according to its recent stats.
Launched in 2010 by Vytas Paukstys and Povilas Skrebutena, the mobile social network has been growing massively with a majority of its African users from Nigeria over 5 million. The site is spreading across East Africa with an aim of covering Africa, the world’s second biggest mobile market.
The Lithuania based site had 9 million users by October, with over half of them in Nigeria and some 2 million across Africa. Eskimi beats Google and Yahoo as the second most visited site in Nigeria after Facebook.
