Facebook friends and Twitter followers will no longer determine your influence, thanks to, mYwindow, a new startup that’s set to change the way ones identity, passion and their family relate online, away from noise and anonymity on other social networks.
Founded a two months ago by Nikunj Agrawal and Virendra Mishra both based in India passionate about tech, mYwindow now employs four full-time staff and backed with $20,000 funding from family and friends and has already got more than 3000 invites after launching beta version two weeks ago.
Speaking to Okii Eli of TechMoran, the founders say people characterize others by what they do on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and other social sites. Companies also dig into an individuals online reputation before recruiting which they say does not portray the real person.
“It’s our talents, skills, creations, inspirations and our goals that define us.”
One’s work like written books, short films, photography, apps, blogs, interviews or speeches and awards defines a person. “So we’re after letting people regain their Identity on the Internet, ‘ they added.
mYwindow also allows users to follow people in their interests only for instance if one is an investment banker, chef or a hacker, they receive updates and share only what is in their interests. Users can also make video calls, real-time chat with the entire family whereve they are and they can manage and store files, important contacts, send and accepting gifts and invitations to extended family friends.
mYwindow is at the moment targeting 10,000 invites before its public beta launch. A mobile app is also being developed.
mYwindow also allows users to do business by selling their beautiful creations to people in their city, local community, friends, families and followers in just 10 seconds.
