Vodacom Sunday, February  10 2013 launched ‘Free4Sho’, a benefit service for its customer  offering a range of free goodies.

According to the firm, the first customer offer under ‘Free4Sho’  is a prepaid price plan dubbed Vodacom Daily Free Calls, where customers pay a new flat rate of R1.20 per minute across all networks.

Under the plan, calls made to Vodacom customers will only be charged for the first 3 minutes and the rest of the hour is free.

Shameel Joosub Vodacom’s CEO said, “Vodacom Daily Free Calls is simple, easy to use and offers great value to our customers. Customers will pay as little as 6 cents per minute and this not a promotional offer, it’s a brand new prepaid price plan suitable for customers who make longer calls.”

Joosub added, “Our slogan is ‘There’s free. Then there’s Free4Sho’ and that’s because our customers will receive free benefits, guaranteed. So whenever customers see ‘Free4Sho’ they can always expect extra value free of charge”.

Under the Vodacom Daily Free Calls, customers will receive free minutes on every call, everyday, peak or off peak even during weekends. The first three minutes of every call is billed at R1.20 per minute and the rest of the hour is free. In the event that the call duration exceeds one hour, the first 3 minutes of the second hour is billed at R1.20 per minute and the rest of the hour is free.

Prepaid customers can change from their current price plan to Vodacom Daily Free Calls by dialling 1181 direct from their Vodacom cellphones, or dial *111#, select FreeChange and follow the prompts.
