Chandarana Supermarket has introduced online shopping in a move to drive down the cost of living in urban centres.
Established In 1964 as a grocery shop, Chandarana Supermarkets is one of the oldest supermarkets in Kenya now has seven supermaket chains in Nairobi and one in Diani Mombasa.
The supermarket chain says the process is simple as buyers easily browse through the aisles for products, selects the products and adds them to the cart.
“Once you are done with shopping you then Checkout. The minimum shopping basket value is KShs. 500/-,” adds the store.
The process requires new customers to register first but existing ones just log in, confirm their shopping basket, account details and then select the mode of payment. Users can pay in Cash on Collection; Credit Card on Collection or with iPay(MPesa, Airtel Money, YuCash, Orange Money).
The service introduced a few days after st. Valentine’s Day is good for the ever busy city shoppers however buyers still have to collect their goods after two hours of their order.
The store says, “Once you have finished you can pick your goods from Chandarana Lavington Branch two hours after your order.The first 1,000 online shoppers that pay on Collection get 5% off their total purchase!”
