After rolling out into 12 new countries in emerging markets, Foodpand/ Hellofood has launched in Argentina and Venezuela in a move to further expand its services in Latin America and near its target of 3 billion people in 25 countries, also making it the online food delivery service with the widest geographical reach.
Just a few months after the launch, Foodpanda is already cooperating with more than 10.000 restaurants.
Going Mobile
Foodpanda is also taking food ordering and delivery mobile with its launch of Android and iOS apps in its 14 markets in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.
Using the food delivery and takeout app is the fastest way to order food with a smartphone or tablet. The app is simple and convenient to use: specify your local area and the app lists all restaurants available nearby. After placing an order, the user receives a notification with all order details and the expected delivery time.
Co-founder and global managing director Ralf Wenzel: “We believe ordering food should be easy, fast and include all the best restaurants. We wanted something simpler, so we made it. The launch of our iOS and Android apps are the result of translating our successful services to the mobile world. It is our answer to the demand for uncomplicated food delivery. Ordering food has never been made easier and faster.”
The app is now available in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco, Senegal and Russia. Within the next two weeks the app will also be available in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Hungary and Poland.
