The InfoTech Developer Entrepreneurship Accelerator, iDEA is launching Friday with one simple objective, to help Nigerian entrepreneurs create successful businesses.
Supported by Nigeria’s Ministry of Communication Technology and the National Information Technology Development Agency, iDEA is a non-profit incubator founded this year to accelerate the development of the software industry in Nigeria by nurturing and helping Nigerian software technology businesses.
iDEA provides essential support to entrepreneurs to build software skills, solutions and businesses critical to their success. Entrepreneurs accepted will have access to its physical work space, shared facilities, training, mentoring and access to capital.
“We are currently accepting applications for the iDEA Centres in Lagos and Tinapa. We are particularly interested in innovations in Mobile Apps, Enterprise Software, Linguistic Software, Custom Programming and Business Intelligence Software,” said iDEA.
iDEA will be working with Micorosft, Google, Nokia, Blacberry and the NTDA among others to support entrepreneurs who are welcome to apply throughtout the year as long as they got a business plan ready.
For one to qualify into an iDEA program they have to show how soon their product can be commercialised, show is their product has the potential to make a big impact in the market and it has to be a software idea.
