Gerald Yitamkey told TechMoran that still trading as MasterMind, they were selected by the Kairos Society as one of the best student run enterprises in the world and pitched to investors, students and entrepreneurs at the Kairos Global Summit at the New York Stock Exchange in early 2012. Later in the same year, the team decided to settle down to building Ghana’s massive ecommerce company. Then another door opened; Ahonya.com was selected to join the first class of the Savannah Fund Accelerator program in Nairobi.
Online shopping in Ghana faces major obstacles due to fear of fraud and a lack of a convenient ways to pay for goods online but with the introduction of mobile money and various online payment services, Ahonya.com believe this is the best time for eCommemrce.
