Zehoo.me, one of six tech start-ups in Seed Engine’s first business accelerator programme, is a universal document inbox. Zehoo aggregates storage items from cloud storage, mail attachments, PC and physical documents into one simple app with one login and one user experience. The user can conduct searches, across all platforms simultaneously, using the document name or a keyword, edit documents and share them with other users.
Points of differentiation include:
– Deep search – this means that users can type a single word that is presented within documents (not just headings and file names) across all document storage services simultaneously.
– Multiple input methods – not only can users grab documents from their mail and cloud services, but they can also upload mobile camera images of documents as well as fax documents to the unified inbox.
– Zehoo makes efficient use of both mobile and web app platforms. This means that users can access their Zehoo app while on the road, when they need to find a document on the fly, as well as on the web, when they are sitting in their offices or homes and looking to edit large documents such as legal agreements, birthday lists and personal organizers.
The venture is headed by creator and co-founder, Robin Bayhack, a practicing attorney with 20 years experience, who is passionate about using technology to simplify life’s challenges and demands while lead developer and co-founder Adrian Sandu has worked in software development and design for more than 16 years.
“Seed Engine is an amazing company that allows great ideas to flourish and become successful businesses”, says Bayhack. “Their team of mentors is well structured and committed to providing the necessary support in all the relevant areas of expertise. It is high pressure with high stakes but very rewarding.”
In addition to the R100 000 initial funding from Seed Engine, the Zehoo team has raised another R700 000 for their venture.
