Kola Studios has developed a new app for Android and iOS dubbed Twendele as an answer to what they say “Fear Of Missing Out” (FOMO).
Twendele helps users know where their friends are going to party. The app uses one’s Facebook friendlist, and location information to show them the optimum places to go and hangout.
They announced, “Hello Kola Studios family, we’ve released a brand new app to help you meet up and hang out with friends: Introducing Twendele!”
According to Kola Studios, “Twendele at an instant will tell you where your friends and everyone else is planning to go. You will be able to feel the excitement and energy of a place even before you arrive. There is nothing more fun than being in the company of friends.”
Comprising of Okalany Daniel, Guy Acellam, Karungi Theresa, Jasper Onono and Daniel Nuwe, Kola Studios have built awesome games like Zword, Tapt and Matatu which has been played over 20,000 times.
Kola Studios have also won awards for their hardwork. Their game, the Zword was voted the funniest game at Garage48 Kampala, Tapt was Best App at the Google Android Developer Camp Kampala.
Twendele App, helping revelers locate their friends, might be their best products in a short time as the social scene is getting so popular due to trust. Kola Studio might also generate revenue from the app in the near future as restaurants can use it to influence one’s friends to join them instead of going elsewhere. The tricky part however, due to privacy users might disable it when they don’t want to be stalked on.
The team is based in Kampala Uganda but builds games for the larger East Africa and beyond.
