TIVI is Kenya’s 1st interactive TV guide available across all devices and platforms, mobile and desktop. TIVI is free and users require no subscription fees.

According to the team behind TIVI, Trevor Kimenye, Charles Gichuki  and Julie Achieng people keep keep missing their favourite shows, fail to keep track of what’s showing on TV or are just tired of the lack of an up to date TV Guide in newspapers but  TIVI Guide will fill that gap.

“With so many channels on television today, it has become difficult to know exactly what is showing and when it’s showing. TIVI Guide provides the TV viewer with an up to date line up of programs running on the main Free TV stations in Kenya,” thay said and added, “It is also launching soon in Uganda and Tanzania.”

TiVi guide allows users to find out when their favorite shows are on, add reminders so that they don’t miss their favorite shows. Reminders are sent via push notifications, SMS and email, check in to shows and get exclusive content and learn more about the shows they are watching with reviews, synopsis, trailers, spoiler alerts, actor profiles and interviews.

“You can get information on what awards your favorite actors have been shortlisted for, what project they will be engaged in next and much more,” they said.

Developed by Sprout – a new digital agency in Nairobi dealing in Design, Technology, Business & Culture projects especially using internet. The agency also builds websites, mobile apps, games and helps companies to craft the best digital strategies.

TIVI is not a gamble, in just a few months in its pilot, it has been shortlisted as a finalist for this year’s edition of Pivot East; which is East Africa’s premier mobile startups competition beating hundreds of businesses.  TIVI hopes to emerge winner in its category during the competition to be held in Kampala Uganda from 25-26th June 2013 and
