Tech4Africa, a premier mobile, web & emerging technology event, bringing global perspective to the African context will be hosting two Developer Days ‘DevDays’ in Johannesburg and Cape Town on July 19 and July 26 respectively aimed at enabling the best developers in the country to solve a unique and complex business challenge within 24 hours.
The initiative of Deloitte Digital South Africa and Tech4Africa and Nedbank, the competition aims to see the winning contender walk away with R35,000 in cash.
The J’BG 24hr Developer Day for developers, engineers, geeks and problem solvers will be held at Deloitte Digital, Woodmead on July 19, 3:00 pm to July 20, 3:00 pm. Developers have access to programming space, case study room, demo room, chill zone & RaspBerry Pi’s and apart from the R35k total prize money on offer they will also be given snacks, drinks, pizza dinner, breakfast and lunch.
The Cape Town DevDay will also hostr developers, engineers, geeks and problem solvers with R35k total prize money on offer and also includes snacks, drinks, pizza dinner and features programming space, case study room, demo room, wp room, chill zone & RaspBerry Pi’s. It will be held at the Bandwidth Barn on July 26, 8:00am to July 27, 3:00 pm.
Developers will however be required to pay R250 for snacks, drinks, and meals and this will earn them an R250 discount on their Tech4Africa conference registration later in the year.
