Nokia has introduced Vyclone,a social video app on its Lumia range of smartphones.
Downloadable from the Windows Store, Vyclone enables the ability to co-create and edit multi-camera movies, simply and without the need for expensive cameras or editing software.
Vyclone allows people to immediately share the content via social networks. It also enables users to record HD video using PureView camera optics for crisper imagery and superior audio.
According to Nokia’s head of product marketing for East Africa, King’ori Gitahi, Nokia wants to enhance user experience by delivering new capabilities on the Nokia Lumia range of smartphones.
Gitahi said, “One of Nokia’s advantages lies in our PureView imaging technology, which enables a clearer, more user-friendly experience on the Vyclone app. With the introduction of Vyclone, Nokia Lumia owners will be able to make higher quality movies than their peers on other platforms.”
“Users are going to have a lot of fun playing with this app – and making their own customized video mixes,” he added.
Nokia has also introduced Creative Studio app which allows users to take and edit their images without a hastle. Exclusive to Nokia Lumia, users can swipe through a series of creative effects, add focus blur or create an impressive color pop effect. With Creative Studio users can also create a beautiful collage, quickly adjust color balance, remove red eye and share the pictures directly with friends on Facebook and Twitter.
Vyclone will allow users to mix film taken on their own phone with footage taken by other people filming the same events such as football matches or live music shows. It synchronizes and edits everyone’s clips to create one movie with all the angles cut together. Users can also get the raw footage so you can remix it to make their own version.
Vyclone and Creative Studio join a long list of popular apps available on Nokia Lumia smartphones, which now comprises over 90 percent of the top 50 apps globally, including: Pandora, Temple Run, Burton, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, ESPN Hub, LinkedIn, TripAdvisor, Vimeo, WhatsApp, Words with Friends, Draw Something, Oreo Skies, World of Red Bull and The Sims Medieval. There are more than 145,000 apps available for the Windows Phone platform and the number is growing daily.
Vyclone is available as a free download for Windows Phone 8 devices from Windows Phone Store.
