Uber, a San Fransisco based startup that allows anyone to request a ride via mobile app, text message, or the web is set to launch in Bangalore India even with the country’s restrictive car hire laws.
In its jobs section, Uber announced, “We’re looking for a community support all-star to take charge of customer satisfaction.”
“The right person will be comfortable in an ‘all hands on deck’ environment, loves solving people problems and can thrive in a startup culture. This role is all about bringing UberLOVE to our users,” concluded the announcement.
Uber allows users to track the arrival of their cars by SMS, allows users pay by credit card and send users email alerts detailing their trip. It is also a revenue stream for drivers, allowing them to make money from their cars. The Uber service is currently available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry and on web.
