Swaziland’s SPTC says that it will switch on a fixed wireless service in the next few weeks.
The landline operator and MTN will have to be adapted to ensure they can only work in a fixed location. This is to get over the difference MTN and SPTC had which had seen previous mobile service disabled last year in September.
SPTC’S Managing Director, Petros Dlamini told the press that the company will re-provision all the fixed phones and the wireless dongles that their customers bought at the SPTC service for the wireless local service.
He further said that the modified fixed phones will be re- introduced before the end of the second quarter.
