The Kenyan government has launched a new drive to have digital centres that will provide information and help on various issues in all the 47 counties.
According to the government, the centres will be fully equipped with state of the art technology that will enable them disperse and collect information efficiently.
Speaking at a media briefing, the cabinet secretary for Devolution and Planning, Ms Anne Waiguru said that the centres, dubbed Huduma Kenya will define the Jubilee government’s agenda even more than devolution.
She added that when the centres are completed they hope to change the face of doing business with the public service in the counties.
Some of the services that the centres will cater for include: Immigration, Kenya Revenue Authority, State Law Office, Lands, National Health Insurance Fund, National Social Security Fund among others.
