Egypt’s Tabibi247.com Named High-Impact Entrepreneur Despite The Cairo Crisis

tabibCairo’s Tabibi 24/7, a healthcare startup launched in February 2011 has been named among ten companies for the Endeavor High-Impact Entrepreneurs, a move that shows its fearless healthcare activities paid off even as the city rages on.

Founded by Karim Ragab, Dr. Khalil Abdel Khalek, Walid Abdel Hadi, Tabibi 24/7  provides 24-hour access to pediatric and family care in Cairo through two daytime clinics and around-the-clock home visits, basic medical training courses and a daily health tip SMS service.

“Tabibi” Arabic for “My Doctor”  provides optimum care to the sick and follow up their patients to address any of their medical issues immediately 24 hours around the clock. They later fully document all their patients medical history in their database for future reference. They also refer their patients to trusted specialists, hospitals, medical labs and scan centers; and we will be available to assist you along the way as you require.

The doctors have been of help to patients during the ongoing Egyptian crisis by their around-the-clock availability and fearlessness during the riots and clashes in Cairo.

Now supporting 818 High-Impact Entrepreneurs from 510 companies in 15 emerging and growth market countries, Endeavor August  13-15 in Johannesburg, South Africa, selected 17 High-Impact Entrepreneurs at 10 companies from  Brazil, Egypt, Greece, Indonesia, Jordan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Turkey at its 49th International Selection Panel.

The International Selection Panel (ISP) is the culmination of a rigorous multi-step selection process where top local and international business leaders interview candidates about their businesses and high-impact potential, and then vote on whether or not candidates become Endeavor Entrepreneurs.

tabib24After selection, Endeavor provides entrepreneurs with customized services,  including introductions to local and international business mentors and volunteers from Fortune 500 consulting firms. Endeavor will host two additional International Selection Panels this year: Palo Alto, CA, October 2013 and Dubai, UAE, December 2013.

Other startups from Africa selected include South Africa’s Cognician, a cloud-based people development software for large companies that seek an effective, scalable method for disseminating training and educational materials to employees. It was founded by Barry Kayton and Patrick Kayton.

RubyBox, another SA company founded by Sylvia Gruber was also selected. RubyBox is a try-before-you-buy beauty subscription start-up that has developed into one of South Africa’s leading online beauty destinations. RubyBox members pay a monthly subscription fee to receive a customized box of premium beauty samples from top international and local brands. After customers identify the perfect product, they can purchase the full-size version from Rubybox’s online store featuring more than 60 brands.
