Uber, a US cab hire mobile app has launched in stealth in Cape Town, after recently launching in Johannesburg.

SA Rugby legend Breyton Paulse was the first to test the app. Other secret Ubers then folowed suit with rides in the streets of Cape Town, the Mother City.

According to Uber the “testing phase” for Uber Cape Town is the beginning of “awesome and safe rides around Cape Town” but it will remain a “testing phase”  and the Uber cabs’ supply are expected to be limited. The firm just wants user feedback so as they iron out any ”potential kinks” before they create a service tailored to user’s needs.
