“We have seen a significant growth in subscribers accessing the internet via 3G over the past few years, and as a result will be modernizing our network in order to expand capacity and continue delivering the customer experience and mobile access expected by our customer base throughout Nigeria,” said Olusegun Salami, Senior Manager, Transmission Access Planning, MTN Nigeria. “CBNL has demonstrated an impeccable knowledge of our market, customer needs and the challenges we face during the network upgrade, which is testament to our strong partnership over the past six years.”

Nigel Webb, Vice President, Sub-Saharan Africa, CBNL said: “Our significant local presence enabled us to work closely with MTN planners to model detailed scenarios, prior to deployment. This will deliver a smarter, more efficient and resourceful network to support the traffic needs of today and for future capacity and coverage requirements.”

VectaStar is one of the most diverse multipoint microwave backhaul platforms having proved its ability to backhaul 2G and 3G networks, all IP 4G LTE and Wi-Fi networks and next generation infrastructures including small cells.
