Samsung said it will live stream the event, and has donated life size digital screen for Kenyans to watch the event live from the Kenyatta International Conference Centre.
Kenya Posta yesterday launched awesome stamps to commemorate the event. Airtel doesn’t want to be left behind. The firm has today said it it will reward all its prepaid customers with Kshs. 50 Airtel to Airtel airtime and 50MB worth data as part of the celebrations. The reward will be valid from 6am to 8am on the 12th December 2013. Customers only need to have active lines and need not subscribe to enjoy this offer.
In a statement, Airtel Kenya Managing Director Mr. Shivan Bhargava, said, “This is our Good Morning greeting to the Nation in celebration of this great milestone of its 50thbirthday. This being a very important occasion for all Kenyans, it will be the very first offer that Kenyans will enjoy on the day, enabling them to connect with their family and friends as they share the joy of the historic celebration”.
Bhargava added that Airtel’s objective to increase mobile penetration and usage through empowering Kenyans to meet their daily communication needs. The company has also recently launched the good morning free data offer where Airtel subscribers enjoy up to 80MB FREE data between 6am and 8am every morning. To subscribe, customers are required to send a text “Good morning” to 544.
