Nissan lovers can buy their cars online, in India as the company seeks to beat competition by offering online booking, purchases and delivery of cars to buyer’s homes.
The launch, marking the company’s first online sales initiative in India will enable Nissan’s customers buy it’s entire product line up via the internet at the safety of the homes or offices.
According to the the firm, customers will be able to book their cars by making payments through an online gateway by credit card and have their cars delivered to them by the firm’s nearest dealer.
Mr. Nitish Tipnis, Director – Marketing, Hover Automotive India (Nissan’s National Sales Company) said, “The objective is to simplify the purchase cycle and delight the customer by making the entire sales journey quicker and more efficient with no compromise on service.”
“The e-commerce consumer is the most evolved user online. They prioritise saving time through digital channels, so it’s important we evolve our purchase model to reflect and accommodate the change in buying patterns. We will therefore offer the convenience of online booking coupled with attractive deals,” Tipnis added.
Nissan India stocks the mid-sized sedan ‘Sunny’, Nissan Evalia (MPV), compact hatchback Nissan ‘Micra’, newly launched compact premium SUV Nissan ‘Terrano’, luxury sedan Nissan ‘Teana’, SUV Nissan ‘X-Trail’ and iconic sports car Nissan ‘370Z’.
The firm was prompted to launch online sales after it recorded increasing online research by auto buyers before they bought the cars. The firm will therefore set up suitable payment gateways to make it easier and safe for buyers to book and have their cars delivered by the nearest Nissan dealer. This will be awesome if introduced in Africa, as populations turn online and their mobile phones for shopping.
