Samsung’s Galaxy S5 will hit stores this year by April around the same time its predecessor S4 was released last year and has been confirmed to look and feel significantly different from the Samsung galaxy S4.

The tech giant will also release a new version of Galaxy Gear Smart watch with functions that are more advanced and an improved bulky design at the same time with the new phone.

“We’ve been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around march and April and we are still targeting release around that time,” Lee Young Hee, executive vice president for Samsung’s mobile business.

With the release of Samsung galaxy S3 last year, the gadget did not arouse big reaction from the public which has inspired the advance on its successor which Lee said the company will go back to basics mostly the display and feel of the cover, the eye scanner is however speculated to include the device’s features.

Samsung recently released a massive 105-inch television with a curved screen after first launching Galaxy round with a 5.7-inch screen, which was only in South-Korea.
