Shortlist Nigeria Wants to be the Country’s Top Headhunting Platform

1000745_471963609590122_1165062160_nSHORTLIST is set to launch in Nigeria with a promise to help its users find an easier way to recruit. Working in partnership with Nigeria’s Phillips Consulting, with 20 years of recruitment experience, SHORTLIST aims at connecting candidates and employers directly through a “Talent Pool”.

Launched in BETA this February, with a full site launch in April where the database will be opened up to all Candidates and Employers, Shortlist is inviting a small number of users onto the site to provide close feedback.

According to Mrs Tayo Leigh, a Strategic Finance Business Partner, acting as Managing Director, “I wanted to build a website that I would be comfortable putting my details on. That I could recommend to friends and anyone else who’s struggling to make a career move in the Nigerian job market.”

Mrs. Leigh will be working with Phillips Consulting founder Mr. Foluso Phillips, a key investor and contributor to the start-up is currently the Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. Mr Phillips’ wealth of recruitment knowledge and focus on solving Nigeria’s economic problems such as unemployment, Job Mobility and SME growth is one of the drivers behind the existence of SHORTLIST Nigeria.

On full launch, SHORTLIST Nigeria says it will be a self-service database that gives companies instant access to a pool of skilled candidates. The startup says jobseekers will easily set up a profile much like a CV, which is immediately accessible by a network of potential employers with job opportunities and powerful time saving shortlisting tools to save recruiters time and costs. The firm has to be better than Jobberman and NG careers among others to gain any significant market share.
