Airtel Kenya managing director Shivan Bhargava said: “Our company is committed to offering employment and career development opportunities young and creative minds and such a career fair is a great demonstration by this generation. I’m pleased at the high organization standards displayed by the students of the University of Nairobi on the organization of this important forum. We intend to continue with such programs that empower and create opportunities for our youth.”
The Principal, University of Nairobi’s Lower Kabete Campus Prof. Peter K’Obonyo said: “We as the University consider ourselves lucky to associate with Airtel, being one of the leading brands in the country. It is indeed inspiring for our students to interact with potential employers and to get an opportunity to gain first hand tips about the job market. I’m impressed by Airtel’s youthful representation, which gives the students real hope that they can also make it if they take these tips seriously.
NUARSA Chairperson Daniel Omari said: “The students now know the internship criteria and how to apply. We are pleased to have Airtel with us for the 4 days. We hope that Airtel will make this a regular exercise where students gain a lot from the Airtel’s working experience.”
