Kenya’s GrowthAfrica Begins Hunt for Agribusiness Startups

015East Africa’s premier impact Accelerator GrowthAfrica will be recruiting the next batch of ambitious high impact growth entrepreneurs and their startups to join the 2014 Agribusiness Accelerator Program which places a great opportunity to entrepreneurs to work with a carefully selected group of experienced and successful mentors and facilitators.

Entrepreneurs will get access to investors from all round the world and will be exposed to networking with peers, key industry players and join successful Alumni from the previous programs. To qualify as a start-up, your core team should be working full time and must have an already launched product/service with paying customers.

Startups must be in need of investment and want to accelerate the startup to the next level. GrowthAfrica is looking for startups in various verticals; startups that increase income generation for farmers; as suppliers, as agents and as employees. Agro-processing businesses, Agriculture Tech Start-ups, Training and education, for improved efficiencies in distribution of farm inputs and products, Business in the Agriculture value chain that improve food security and Innovations in Agribusiness.

The program will have a total of eight-2 day workshops which must fall under Friday and Saturday to minimize the impact on your day to day work. This will be meant for entrepreneurs to implement new knowledge, insights and plans one has acquired.

Each year GrowthAfrica holds a Venture Fair twice, where investors have a chance to interact with our recent graduates and alumni to see if any of these fit their profile.
