Application is open till June 30, 2014 for young change-makers to submit ideas that have the capability to change the world for a chance to win US$25,000 grant in the United Nations’ Project Inspire Competition.

Applicants would be given the opportunity to pitch their ideas to the world in 5 minutes; ideas that are designed to support disadvantaged women and girls in attaining sustained livelihood with business and livelihood skills.

Launched in 2011, to mark the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 25th anniversary of MasterCard Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, Project Inspire presents 18-35 year olds with a five-minute platform to pitch their inspired idea, for the chance to win a US$25,000 grant.

The project hope to provide a better world of opportunities and access to business and livelihood skills to women and girls in Asia, Pacific, the Middle East or Africa.

The competition is open to individuals or group of up to three members within the age of 18 and 35 years in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

Entries must be in English and can either be in form of video (not more than 5 minutes) or 2-page A4-sized proposal.

Aside the grand prize for the winner, top ten finalists will get one return flight to Singapore for the grand finale, 4 nights’ accommodation in Singapore, meals and transfers. Finalists would also get one-on-one mentoring sessions during the grand finale.
