Orange Connects Four more Counties to Its High Speed Broadband Network

Integrated telecommunications solutions provider, Orange has added  four more counties to its high-speed broadband network in Kenya, bringing the total number of counties on its network to 31.

The four counties: Nandi, Vihiga, Marsabit and Lamu can  now enjoy Orange’s Broadband Virtual Private Network (BVPN) solution that keeps clients connected with their staff and allows  data transmission with ultimate ease, speed and without interruption.

Company CEO Mickael Ghossein reiterated the company’s keenness in delivering high speed broadband Internet to all parts of the country.

“Among the other areas we can support the County governments include e-Security, optimised Revenue Management and optimised County Resource Management, Business Continuity Management, robust public transport and fleet management, call centres as well as bringing about a high level of efficiency to e-health services, education and agriculture,” says Mickael Ghossein.

orangeGhossein added that the connections to the County Governors’ offices and County Assemblies were the initial phases of interactions with the counties, as the business works on more opportunities to partner with the devolved governments.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) hold great potential to transform the counties, more so now as the government looks into improving the overall service delivery efficiencies by way of this resource.
