South Africa’s Obsidian Has Open Source On Tap

Obsidian Systems, an established home-grown supplier of Open Source software solutions, has proudly implemented an ‘out-of-the-bottle’ series of information and networking sessions for those who are thirsty for insight into the latest developments in open source technology. Simply titled ‘Free Beer Sessions’, the initiative brings together open source enthusiasts and users at a forum to discuss and deliberate advances in this market space.

The initiative is already well established and affords guests an opportunity to network about the latest Open Source Software (OSS) trends. The event has attracted the participation of past speakers including Anton de Wet, Len Weincier, Phillip Booysen, Johan Lamprecht and Karl Fischer, amongst other open source stalwarts.

The next Free Beer session will take place on 29 May 2014 at the Investec Building on Grayston Drive, Sandton, Johannesburg.

Proceedings are scheduled to commence at 5pm and the agenda includes two presentations from guest speakers, dinner, drinks and an opportunity to network about the latest Open Source Software trends.
