Online Hotel Booking Site Jovago Launches in Zanzibar, Djibouti & Malawi

jovagoWith a growing number of hotels in East Africa already, Jovago today on their plans for East AfricaRocket Internet, MTN and Millicom’s online hotel booking service has today launched in Zanzibar, Djibouti and Malawi in order to offer easy and transparent hotel booking to users across the continent.
This launch comes days after the site expanded into South Sudan.

In a statement, Estelle Verdier, managing director of Jovago East Africa said: “We are delighted to be able to bring our customers access to even more beautiful and attractive locations from across Africa. These new markets all boast tourist industries with great potential and we intend to support local hotels by giving them visibility on our site to an ever-growing customer base.”With this latest wave of expansions in East Africa, Jovago plans to bring the best booking experience online to even more customers across Africa.Founded by African Internet Holding (AIH), Jovago aims to make the hotel booking process far easier and more transparent for its users. The site has already signed up a deal with Sheraton Djibouti to help it attract travellers from around the world and get more hotels on board.

Sagal Mohamed, commercial director of the Sheraton Djibouti hotel commented: “We are very happy to be working with Jovago; it is a superb initiative that will open the doors of Djibouti to the rest of the world. We are proud that the Sheraton is leading the way in bringing the hotel industry in Djibouti online.”

Jovago says it aims to make the hotel booking process far easier and more transparent by enabling users to view and book hotels online, its competitors such as StayNow, SleepOut, Booking.com among others also say so. But the firm says its puts user convenience and security at the core of its operations. This attention to detail aims to create a much more organised and trustworthy portfolio of the great hotels on offer in countries such as Nigeria, Kenya and Senegal.
