TECNO Mobile has today launched the anticipated Phantom Z device. The smart phone ruins on the Android 4.4 Kitkat platform.
The device comes in a 7.9mm unibody design; a 2GB RAM and an internal memory of 32GB; an 3030mAH battery that delivers 24 hours of talk time and up to 960 hours of standby time on a 3G network.

Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and Technology Dr. Fred Matiang’i said that the Phantom Z’s entry into the market is a strong indicator that the sector is an exciting destination for new investors, who are keen to exploit the economic potential of the Kenyan market.
“The lion’s share of Kenya’s internet subscribers consume data through their mobile phones. Tecno Mobile has played a critical role in enabling Kenyans access to the internet through affordable hand held devices. I believe the Phantom Z will provide us with more value added services and facilitate the continued growth of the telecommunications sector,” he added.
The Minister further urged TECHNO mobile to work on cheaper phones so as to favour the lower class because most people in the country access internet through mobile devices rather than PCs.
