Restaurant search and discovery service available in South Africa and 11 other countries, Zomato has acquired menumania.co.nz, a popular New Zealand-based restaurant discovery service for an undisclosed amount. This is Zomato’s first acquisition globally.
The deal will see Zomato integrate Menumania’s largest resource of restaurant information in New Zealand into its own in a a few weeks to Zomato.co.nz

The founding team of Menumania will be working closely with the Zomato team following this acquisition to help integrate MenuMania with Zomato and use their local knowledge about the market and also tap into Zomato’s technology.

Zomato has been aggressively expanding its global presence with launches in Europe and Southeast Asia in the past six months, while also working to strengthen its presence in existing markets. This acquisition is a strategic move to establish Zomato’s presence in the Pacific.
