Co-founded by Timbo Drayson, OkHi allows users to create and share their physical addresses via their mobile phones. Users can share OkHi address using WhatsApp, SMS or email so that other users can locate their friends or families or even markets and physical landmarks.
Timbo says he was inspired to develop the platform due to the massive need of location services in the country especially for ecommerce and emergency services.
Speaking about his win today Timbo said, “Seedstars World is doing an amazing thing for startups in emerging markets, which have been left out by most startup initiatives. We are grateful that Seedstars is here.”
Seedstars World will also give OKHi exposure to international partnerships, investors and tools worth $60,000.
After Kenya, OkHi aims to solve the address problem for 4 the billion people who do not have a physical address right now.
Seedstars judge told TechMoran that OkHi was preferred over others because it was addressing a real problem and was easily scalable across the world.
OkHi is available on the Google PlayStore and Apple iTunes.
Savannah Fund-backed StudySearch were the runner’s up.
