Shortlist Launches to be Nigeria’s Top Job Hunting Platform

In February, TechMoran covered the beta launch of Shortlist, a Phillips Consulting company aimed at being the go-to site for job seekers and recruiters in Nigeria.

So after months of development, SHORTLIST launched to the public over the weekend in Nigeria with plans to connect job candidates and employers directly with each other through its online talent pool.

Mrs Tayo Leigh, a Strategic Finance Business Partner, acting as Managing Director told TechMoran earlier, “I wanted to build a website that I would be comfortable putting my details on. That I could recommend to friends and anyone else who’s struggling to make a career move in the Nigerian job market.”

SHORTLIST aims to be the country’s self-service database that gives companies instant access to a pool of skilled candidates. The startup says jobseekers will easily set up a profile much like a CV, which is immediately accessible by a network of potential employers with job opportunities and powerful time saving shortlisting tools to save recruiters time and costs.

SHORTLIST is backed by  Phillips Consulting Chairman and founder Mr. Foluso Phillips, a key investor who is also the current Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. Mr Phillips’ wealth of recruitment knowledge and focus on solving Nigeria’s economic problems such as unemployment, Job Mobility and SME growth among others.  Phillips Consulting, has 20 years of recruitment experience in the country and will help SHORTLIST to connect candidates and employers directly through a “Talent Pool”.
