Airtel Zambia Scoops 1st Place in ICT Sector at Zambia International Trade Fair

Showcasing 50 Years of Business Transformation and Development, Airtel Networks Zambia Plc, a leading and innovative mobile network provider scooped the 1st Prize in the Information and Communications Technology Sector at the just ended Zambia International Trade Fair held in Ndola.

During the award ceremony held at the Ndola Trade Fair grounds, Airtel Networks Zambia was handed the first prize by Zambia’s Republican Vice-President Dr. Guy Scott who was accompanied by Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Honourable Robert Sichinga and Ndola Mayor, His Worship, Mr. Samuel Munthai.

The Zambia International Trade Fair is an annual event that takes place in Ndola right after the Copperbelt Agriculture and Mining Commercial Show. The Fair attracts both local and international exhibitors from various sectors which include the mining and agriculture sectors as well as the Tele-Communication service providers.

In this event, companies are measured on various parameters including contribution to the economic growth and development, levels of management expertise and implementation of corporate governance among others.

For this year’s International Trade Fair, Airtel Networks Zambia Head of Corporate Communications and Government Relations Mrs. Yuyo Kambikambi noted that her company had done its utmost best to represent the Trade Fair theme of the year which was ‘Showcasing 50 Years of Business Transformation and Development”.
