Samsung Unveils New Entertainment Apps For Your Smart TV

Samsung Electronics has announced new smart TV content that will be unveiled at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Europe’s largest consumer electronics and home appliance trade show.

Popular games and services being released for Samsung Smart TV include, ‘Need for Speed Most Wanted,’ ‘Real Football 2014,’ ‘Golf Star’ and Skype video call services.

All game apps can be downloaded from the Samsung Smart TV Games Panel and can be conveniently controlled by multiple devices, including the Smart Control, a dedicated Samsung Gamepad and select Samsung Galaxy devices.

“At Samsung, the television is more than just a screen – it is a window to the world, providing new experiences, new discoveries and new possibilities,” said Won Jin Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Samsung customers will be able to enjoy even more entertaining and easy-to-use content on the Samsung Smart TV.”

New Smart TV content being released includes:

•         Need for Speed Most Wanted – one of the most popular racing games on the market, released by EA, and boasts fast speed, crisp graphics and true-to-life scenarios.

•         Real Football 2014 – a football simulation game from Gameloft, featuring improved graphics and animations, while offering users the ability to create, play and manage football players and teams.

•         Golf Star – a true-to-life golf experience from Com2us that features realistic graphics, techniques from golf pros and a simulation powered by real physics-based gameplay.

•         Skype – one of the first apps featured in the Smart TV app market, will now bring group video and full HD video calls to the big screen of 2014 Samsung Smart TV models with built-in cameras.

Apps released at IFA 2014 will be available to download for free globally, including Europe, Korea, and the U.S., through the Games Panel on Samsung Smart TVs.
