iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Sales Top 10 Million | Now Available in Kenya & Nigeria

iphone_6Apple said it has sold over 10 million new iPhone® 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models, a new record, just three days after the launch on September 19.

This sales were made in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK and the firm is shipping them to 20 additional countries by Friday.

A few retailers in South Africa, Konga in Nigeria and Bidorbuy in Kenya have the iPhone 6 up for sale even when Apple has not said anything about their availability in Africa. Many were dissapointed when the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were launched due to the phone’s huge display screens and NFC capabilities which have been available on models from other manufacturers already.

The phones come with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina® HD displays, and run on an Apple-designed A8 chip with second generation 64-bit desktop-class architecture for fast performance and power efficiency plus advanced iSight® and FaceTime® HD cameras; and Apple Pay™, for mobile payments.

The new iPhones come with iOS 8 which has a simpler, faster and more intuitive user experience with new Messages and Photos features, predictive typing for Apple’s QuickType™ keyboard, Family Sharing,  a Health app and iCloud Drive

iPhone 6 comes in gold, silver or space gray, and goes for $199 in the US for the 16GB model, $299 US for the 64GB model and, for the first time, a new 128GB model for $399 (US). iPhone 6 Plus comes in gold, silver or space gray, and is retailing at $299 in the US for the 16GB model, $399 for the 64GB model and $499 for the new 128GB model.
