Speaking to TechMoran, Joshua Mutua, KejaHunt’s CTO said, “It has been 6 months since the launch of the platform which has seen an increase in listings and users daily. The platform uses geo-location technology to show the exact location of the house and sociograph to match up roommates using their social circles on social media.”
“Unlike mobile apps which users don’t even download, the mobile site will be easily accessible by users on any of their mobile phones whether Android, Windows, iOS or BlackBerry,” added Mutua.
KejaHunt targets the youth and the low and middle-income earners group who make up 48.4% of the total Kenyan population. The platform allows for easy house hunting online with one getting information on vacant houses in various locations in the country and if the need to cost-share arises one is able to search for a roommate .
Landlords and property owners can easily upload their vacant properties using this mobile website from the comfort of their mobile phones as the platform provides for a dashboard for the property owners to manage their listings and add new ones.
