Founded by Odionye Confidence (CEO) and Jessica Omoro (CTO), Beat Traffik is a mobile and web application that provides user with live updates on traffic in their respective region. It is targeted at car owners and commuters in major population centers in Nigeria with plans to scale up across the rest of Africa.
Beat Traffik says it will help ease the driving experience of its user by enabling them receive real time alerts on traffic congestion or related events (accidents, robbery, security threats etc.) These real time alerts are based on crowd sourced user updates, foot soldiers and Traffic partners in and around their location. These location based events are used to populate an interactive GPS navigation map system with location based adverts and deals also on the map for users to get goods and services around them, in the nearest future the app will enable users pay for traffic offenses.
The idea of Beat Traffik is to ease driving experience by enabling road users to get to their desired destination fast.
With a rising middle class and fast improving internet and mobile data penetration, Nigerians and Africans are increasingly seeking applications that improve their daily living. Beat Traffik seeks to minimize the avoidable menace of traffic congestions for millions of Nigerians and Africans at large.
