LamudiRocket Internet’s Lamudi Uganda has announced it has hit over 11,000 listings onto its online portal in less than a year of being on the market.

According to Shakib Nsubuga, Country Manager of Lamudi Uganda; “We are delighted by this milestone because it shows that many people are starting to embrace the service, as  internet penetration has also increased, plus it means our efforts in sensitizing our different stakeholders such as the brokers on how to utilize the different platforms provided by Lamudi is paying dividends.”

He added that credit for this success has to also be given to the 75% of established professional Agencies, such as Zion estates, Bageine & company limited, Crane management services, Kamoga property consultants that have embraced the service and we are also proud to be associated with them as they are leaders in the industry.

“Therefore other stakeholders that have not yet embraced the new professionalized real estate portal in the industry risk lagging behind, as the wave of new developments and benefits of embracing our portal are only going to increase, this is because Lamudi plans to broaden wider to other regions in the country and hence provide all stakeholders with the more necessary tools such as relevant information,” Nsubuga said.

Lamudi provides an opportunity to real estate agents and property owners to list their properties online for sale or rent. House hunters then go to the site to search for their prefered properties. The platform is available in Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Zaire, Tanzania,  Zimbambwe and several other countries.
