taskwetu new logoKenya’s TasKwetu, an online task management and tracking platform has launched to enable users delegate their tasks and track the tasks progress remotely via their phones or desktop computers in real-time.

Speaking to TechMoran, Leila Khalif, the founder and managing director said, “All a user has to do is order a task on our website taskwetu.com, either by describing the errand or clicking on the available list, pay the service charge and track its progress as TasKwetu gets the job done.”

“TasKwetu services are accessible through our online platform (taskwetu.com). A user signs up, creates a task or chooses one from the list of categories provided, pay the service charge through Mpesa, Paypal or other applicable payment services and track its progress as TasKwetu gets the job done. From his/her account, the user will see the list of tasks they’ve ordered and TasKwetu has accomplished or undertaken.”

“We constantly hear of how hard it is to get a simple task accomplished either because people are too busy and their errands are time consuming, or they are far away from home, or are stuck in the crazy Nairobi traffic, among others the list is endless,” says Khalif. “So we thought we should make Kenyans’ lives easier (both home and abroad) by getting the job done on their behalf. So we came up with TasKwetu for Kenyans to easily get their tasks done from the comfort of their laptops.”

Khalif tells TechMoran Tasketu’s target customers are mainly the Kenyans in the diaspora but their services are also open to local Kenyans.

Though they have competition from the likes of KibaruaNow, Dash2do (offline) and Sendy, Khalif adds that they have three advantages over their competition. The first, she says Taskwetu’s services are not only for local Kenyans but also those abroad. Secondly, Taskwetu provides a unique service which enables Kenyans to track the progress of their ordered tasks. Lastly, Taskwetu is in the process of integrating a project management into the platform.
