Google’s Woza Shuts Down |South Africa’s Vigo Takes the Space

Vigo, a South African tech start-up, is looking into making it big after Google SA shuts down its Web site solution Woza Online. This start-up is will now provide the same services for the SME’s with no online presence.

Vigo, a Cape Town-based online Website creation platform, allows SMEs to build interactive, responsive and search-engine optimised Web sites in minutes from any device.

It hosted more than 2 000 Websites in its debut year and, with Windows Azure as its hosting partner, was named MTN’s 2014 App of the Year for best use of Microsoft Cloud Services. Vigo is also one of Microsoft’s BizSpark and Biz4Afrika flagship technology start-ups.

“SMEs who were with Woza Online can easily switch to Vigo with no hassles or expensive designer fees,” says Carl Wallace, founding CEO of Vigo.
