Airtel and Amazon Web Service Partner Network (AWS) have come together to ensure the delivery of private network solutions for enterprise customers using the web platform all over the world is done.
In a statement, the CEO-Global Business, Airtel Ajay Chitkara said: “We are seeing more and more organizations embrace the benefits of hybrid network architectures and on-premise environments across the globe. In line with this market adoption, we are excited to strengthen Airtel’s cloud services portfolio by adding AWS to our growing list of cloud services providers.”
Airtel further added that the engagement will help the company’s enterprise customers across the globe leverage the power of AWS Direct Connect to establish a dedicated network connection between customers’ premises and Amazon’s data centers.
The dedicated connection uses industry standard 802.1q VLANs and can be partitioned into multiple virtual interfaces. It allows customers to use the same connection to access public resources such as objects stored in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) using public IP address space, and private resources.
“It will help them reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and experience more consistent network connectivity,” the company said in a statement.
