Online hotel booking site Jovago has partnered with Nigeria’s Afrotourism an online network for travel and leisure lovers to provide a white label hotel booking solution for users on the Afrotourism site.
This means visitors to the Afrotourism will be able to access Jovago’s over 200,000 hotels worldwide making it faster and easier for them to search and book hotels online.According to Ayo Oyewole CEO of Afrotourism, “We are happy to partner with Jovago as a means of providing visitors to Africa and its surrounding islands, access to various kinds of hotel accommodation. Incorporating their booking engine into our website empowers the traveler to take actionable decisions regarding where to stay, anywhere on the continent that we offer invaluable information on or make recommendations to visit via our trip ideas or travelogue.”
Jovago.com sees this move as one to promote tourism in Nigeria and open to help Nigerians to discover more local tourist destinations across the country. The firm has been signing various deals to with airlines and platforms like this one make itself discoverable and as well give hotel owners wider reach as a return on their value. Hotel owners pay Jovago a commission each time travellers book for a hotel online using their platform.
This partnerships have seen Jovago become the official hotel partner for the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, a move by the company to help Nigeria’s primary tourism to grow in the country.
“Today is about putting the customer first,” said Marek Zmyslowski, Managing Director of Jovago.com Nigeria. “Together with Afrotourism, we are creating avenues for the average Lagos citizen to easily find hotels across Nigeria and even beyond.”
Jovago says it has over 5000 hotels in Nigeria alone.
