Shopping for men is not the same as shopping for women. Women are okay with just sitting in front of their PCs and wasting each passing moment on gliding from one website to the other not necessarily shopping, well except it is a much coveted outfit on sale or a shoe too admirable to pass on then the impulse buying begins and before they know it, the entire cart is full and turning over. The satisfaction mostly comes from just looking at a variety of coveted items and testing their resolve till they can no longer withhold the urge to click on the buy option, and that is when the shopping begins.
Men on the other hand are a bit more precise and aware of what they want. They are usually on the website to actually buy a product except it involves their obsession like Cars then they are obviously just perusing the website. Other than that, they are very much straight to the point, if they are doing bulk shopping they do that impulse buying is not exactly their style and most importantly they do not spend a long time looking for what they are not buying.
That being said the question is, who does the most shopping online? I will like to think women do. Basically, women spend a lot of time on shopping sites , and very rarely does a woman log onto those sites and leave without impulsively buying. Not to mention when they decide to go online with the sole aim of shopping. An average woman shops at least once a week not to mention the shopaholics, men on the other hand might not be overly spending time on these online websites, but they do most of their shopping online. An average man does not want to stress himself by queuing at a retail store or walking from shop to shop looking for the shoes or clothes or shirts that interest him, all he need to do is just be aware of the websites he can shop from and viola he is online.
It is even a lot easier now websites like Kaymu and so on are in Kenya, that is indeed less stress for him compared to shopping on Amazon or Asos. If we weigh that option, can we say that men do more shopping? I think it all lies between the edges for both parties but women take the cake for this one. Nothing escapes them when it comes to shopping online, they are always on top of the sales, the pop up stores, the yard sales by these online shops it is indeed a no brainer. Someone once said that the only thing separating a woman and everyday shopping is her financial status because irrespective of how busy she might be, there will always be time to log onto that website.
