innovationSAB Foundation Social Innovation Awards 2015 is open for entry and is inviting applications to help improve the quality of life of low income groups, particularly women and youth, rural populations and people with disabilities.
SAB is mainly interested in innovations that are scalable and able to be commercialised and as long as they enhance the lives of disadvantaged South Africans such as women, the youth, persons with disabilities and persons in rural areas.
Entries are welcomed from (and not limited to) South African individuals, innovators, entrepreneurs, NGOs, corporate foundations, CSI professionals, consulting firms, university departments. You can enter as an individual or as teams.
The innovation entered must be the original work of the applicant and a true innovation and/or a significant improvement on an existing technology, product, service, and production method or business model. SAB was founded in 2009 as part of The South African Breweries (SAB) Limitedto empower women, the youth, persons with disability and persons in rural areas through entrepreneurship.
