airtelAirtel Africa has appointed Mr. Andrew Kossowski as Chief Information Officer to replace Mr. George Fanthome effective May 15th in a move to drive Airtel’s information technology (IT) strategy and build stronger collaborative governance relationships with partners.
Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Africa, Mr. Christian de Faria said Mr. Kossowski will be instrumental in driving the IT Strategy for our Africa business through a strong central team of subject-matter-experts, whilst building superior execution capabilities within all the 17 countries that we operate in.
Mr. Kossowski was the Vice President-Operations for Latin America and the Caribbean at Ericsson and was previously the Director of Global Programs at the NII Holdings. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
