One of Nigeria’s online shopping platforms Rothschild has described the growth potential of ecommerce in the country as astronomical. According to the Chief Executive Officer of the portal Stephen Nwatu, e-commerce has great potential for growth in Nigeria.
Speaking at the opening of a Rothschild outlet in Lagos, Nwatu said: “The growth potential for e-commerce in Nigeria is astronomical. We recognise that to be successful in this industry.”
According to him, the portal is focused on ensuring provision of first class customer online experience.
“Rothschild online mall is also working to create an online shopping experience to bridge the most significant gap between online and offline shopping.”
He described the correlation between teledensity, internet penetration and online shopping.
