The world will get better with many such entrepreneurs. Ghana’s Dokita
aims to broaden access to health information across Africa by connecting users to the best doctors in the country so they can ask questions, get answers, schedule appointments without the need of going into hospital waiting rooms.
Founded by Agana-Nsiire Agana, a graduate of MEST Ghana, Dokita aims to take away the wait patients have to go through to see doctors in most public hospitals in Africa as most of them have crowds of patients waiting the whole day before they are attended to.
The platform works simply. After signing up, a users creates a profile, and choses their prefered health interests and the system will help them find what they need based on their chosen needs. According to Dokita, you can easily find doctors who specialise in your health needs and then follow them to receive health tips or just send them questions or make an appointment for treatment.
Doctors also sign up under their specialized medical practice to network with other trusted medics.
